PROCON 2020 VISION INCLUDES NINE EVENTS FOR PROPERTY & CONSTRUCTION NETWORK

ProCon Nottinghamshire has announced its 2020 calendar – with up to nine events in the pipeline including seminars, educational events and networking.

ProCon kicks off the new year with its first event Regenerating intu Broadmarsh – a destination with a difference’ on 6 February at Trent Bridge.

intu Broadmarsh, which is expected to complete in summer 2021, will be on the agenda at the breakfast event when the audience will hear from intu about updates on the redevelopment works. intu representatives will be present to talk about key aspects of the much-anticipated development.

ProCon, which currently has more than 400 members across the East Midlands, attracts a wide membership across developers, architects, surveyors, engineers, agents, consultants, investors, bankers, accountants, solicitors and local authorities. Membership is from just £80 for an individual and includes entry to all events – along with a wide network to engage with.

Other events coming up in 2020 include a seminar on Decarbonisation of the Grid in March and another on Modern Methods of Construction in the spring. There will be ProCon visits to sites including Trent Gateway, the Nottingham College and the former Boots Island site.

In June, ProCon will be hosting their first Summer Social Luncheon for more than 250 people at St Mary’s Church in the Lace Market. Property and construction firms will come together to discuss the regions success at the afternoon event, which will be hosted by Des Coleman. Tickets for this event will go on sale to members on 10 February.

Will Cursham, legal director at law firm Gateley and chairman of ProCon’s cross-industry steering group, said: “This is a really exciting time for ProCon as we start the year with nine fantastic events, which the county’s property and construction sector will find informative and fascinating.

“ProCon offers so much for the property and construction sector in Nottinghamshire and exists to promote the benefits of working together and collaborating not just on projects but making recommendations via networking – and of course celebrating everything we do in Nottinghamshire.

“Our first event with intu will be a look at how the city’s keystone development will improve the public realm and tourism in Nottingham, offering the community a range of new leisure and retail opportunities.”

ProCon Nottinghamshire currently has 23 patrons – Anderson Green, Aspbury Planning, Botham Accounting, BSP Consulting, Cartwright Communications, CPMG Architects, Gateley Legal, Gleeds UK, Godwin Developments, Henry Brothers, Howard Ward Associates, Ian Guyler Business Consulting, Invest in Nottingham, Keepmoat Homes, Maber, Nottingham Trent University, Pulse Consult, Rodgers Leask, Salus, Shakespeare Martineau, Stepnell, Willmott Dixon and YMD Boon.

People and organisations can join as members via the network’s website - procon-nottinghamshire.co.uk. Membership for 2019 is £80 for individuals, £250 for corporate membership and £350 for large corporate membership (all plus VAT). The minimum of four events per year can form part of professionals’ CPD (Continuing Professional Development).
