Formed twenty years ago in 2003, with our head office in Hinckley, we are a leading provider for Building Regulation Approval & Inspection Services and Fire Safety Consultancy, working alongside our clients on their schemes including many award-winning iconic buildings throughout the Midlands.
In the twenty years of providing compliance without complexity we have provided our services on over 54,500 projects with total fees in the region of £78.4m. across all sectors.
Our Fire Safety Consultancy has been further expanded with the appointment of 3 additional Senior Fire Safety Consultants.
As we move into late 2023 the whole building control industry sees a raft of changes in the procedural requirements and introduces new regulations which will affect all those involved in the construction of schemes whether you are the owner, the procurer of the work, a member of the design team or a member of the construction team.
Additionally, those involved in buildings over 18m in height which contain dwellings or is a care home or hospital will need to satisfy the requirements and processes of the Building Safety Regulator including being able to demonstrate that all the members of the supply chain from conception to complete are competent to provide their services.
By April 2024 all building control surveyors will need to demonstrate their competency to work on the projects they undertake and will become Registered Building Inspectors. This is likely the start of all those involved within the construction industry having to demonstrate their competency.

Salus is a leading Building Control Approver & Inspector to corporate clients covering all areas of Building Control. Additionally we also provide Building Regulation, Fire Engineering and Fire Safety Consultancy across all sectors. With our Headquarters based in Leicestershire and a further nine regional offices we are well placed to cover all projects across England and Wales.
Salus do not employ ad hoc site inspection personnel and all our staff are based within a regional office, every client is designated a project manager to ensure a consistent interpretation on each and every project regardless of location.
The primary goal of Salus is to continually be regarded as the best Building Control Approver and following surveys from an independent assessor we have consistently over the past five years received diamond standard customer satisfaction awards, the highest achievable through our compliance with BS EN 9001:2008.
