Midlands contractor, G F Tomlinson, has been appointed to the Department for Education’s new Construction Framework 2025 (CF25), reinforcing the company’s strong track record in delivering high-quality educational facilities across England.

G F Tomlinson has been successful on two regional lots - Yorkshire and The Humber and the North West & West Midlands - for individual projects valued between £4.4 million and £12 million. These geographical areas will provide the company with a significant project pipeline, fitting well with their ongoing strategic expansion to increase overall coverage.

This latest appointment marks G F Tomlinson’s fourth successive inclusion on a DfE construction framework, underlining the business’s consistent performance, capability and expertise in the education sector.

The CF25 framework will run for an initial six-year term, with the option to extend for a further two years, and has a total value of up to £15.6 billion.

Established by the Department for Education to support the delivery of educational infrastructure programmes, CF25 will include the design and construction of schools, academies, sixth-form colleges, university technical colleges and further education facilities.

The framework will also be accessible to wider public sector bodies, including local authorities in England, under the overall supervision of the DfE. Operating as a closed framework under the Procurement Act 2023, CF25 comprises two value bands across ten lots and will play a key role in the delivery of education schemes nationwide over the coming years.

Andy Sewards, Chairman at G F Tomlinson, said: “We are extremely proud to have been appointed once again to the Department for Education’s construction framework.

“Securing a place on CF25 for a fourth time is a testament to the quality of our teams, our collaborative approach and our ability to deliver outstanding educational environments.

“Being successful across Yorkshire and The Humber, as well as the North West and West Midlands, reflects our continued growth in these regions and our long-term commitment to supporting educational establishments through our well-designed, high-quality facilities.”
