Galliford Try strikes £10m deal for Northamptonshire fire door company
Construction giant Galliford Try has revealed its acquisition of a Northamptonshire-based fire door provider in an approximately £10m deal.
Nene Valley Fire & Acoustic was founded in 1986 by David Tyrrell and has worked on projects across sectors like industrial, councils, housing, retail, commercial, healthcare, education, aviation, prisons, leisure and government.
Galliford Try intends to combine the company with its existing Asset Intelligence and Oak Fire Protection business as a "catalyst for significant national growth".
This represents the group's fifth acquisition in the last five years, and was announced within its half-year results.
Galliford Try saw revenues rise 1 per cent to £934.9m for the six months ended 31 December 2025, while its adjusted operating profit was up 22 per cent at £21.6m.
Its order book stood at £4.1bn as of the end of 2025.
