Marrons strengthens Leicester team with senior planner appointment

Planning, design and development consultancy Marrons has further strengthened its Leicester team with the appointment of Evan Williams as senior planner.  

Evan joins with more than five years’ experience in the planning sector - having previously worked at ADAS Planning, where he progressed to senior planner and developed a strong track record advising on complex projects across England. 

He brings expertise in supporting commercial solar and battery storage developments, together with experience in progressing major planning applications for residential schemes.  

At Marrons, Evan will play a key role in managing and progressing planning applications - providing clear, commercially grounded advice to a broad client base. He will support a wide range of residential and regeneration projects, while also drawing on his energy sector experience to further broaden the team’s offer. 

Evan said: “I was drawn to Marrons by the opportunity to work across a diverse range of residential and regeneration projects, alongside a team with a strong and growing reputation. 

“The breadth of the consultancy’s work and its collaborative approach stood out to me, and I’m looking forward to building on my experience, working with new clients, and continuing to develop professionally as part of the team.” 

Evan has been closely involved in several significant energy projects, helping secure consent for around 400MW of battery storage capacity in England. He has also supported the progression of residential developments from early-stage discussions through to submission, working closely with consultants and local authorities to refine proposals and support deliverable outcomes.
