Nottinghamshire unveils £200m development pipeline

Nottinghamshire County Council has launched a £200 million land and development programme aimed at attracting investors, developers and regeneration partners to a portfolio of sites across the county.

Unveiled alongside property and development partner Arc Partnership during the UK Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF), the programme includes a range of development opportunities spanning residential land, urban extensions and strategic sites ranging in size from one acre to more than 120 acres.

The council says the sites have undergone risk assessments and are ready for development, positioning the programme as a vehicle for accelerating housing delivery, infrastructure investment and job creation across Nottinghamshire.

The initiative forms part of the authority’s wider regeneration strategy, which focuses on unlocking development land, supporting economic growth and attracting private sector investment. Council leaders highlighted the programme’s role in delivering new homes, expanding infrastructure and creating skilled employment opportunities.

Nottinghamshire is also promoting major strategic projects within the county, including the planned development of the STEP clean energy project on a former coalfield site in North Nottinghamshire. The scheme is intended to establish a centre for clean energy innovation and advanced technology development.

More than 1,000 new homes were delivered across ten sites in Nottinghamshire during the previous year, with expectations that development activity will increase further through the new land programme.

Arc Partnership, a joint venture between Nottinghamshire County Council and SCAPE, worked with the authority to identify and prepare the development opportunities. The organisation said the programme had received strong interest from investors and developers at UKREiiF, citing confidence in both the quality of the sites and the county’s long-term growth ambitions.
