Cartwright becomes certified B Corp - “a huge recognition of the great work done by the team so far”

Marketing agency Cartwright, which has offices in Nottingham, Birmingham and London, has become a certified B Corp for the first time.

The global accreditation represents a significant landmark for the agency, recognising high standards of social and environmental performance, public transparency and legal accountability.

The 40-strong business has achieved the certification alongside the launch of its inaugural Impact Report, which measures Cartwright’s achievements in ESG.

Across 77 measured activities in the 2025/26 financial year, the agency’s social value impact has been calculated at more than £240,000, with key contributions including 420 students supported through work experience, guest lectures, workshops and wider engagement programmes.

Alongside significant steps to reduce its environmental impact by investing in solar panels and refinements in its policies and governance, these contributions have helped Cartwright achieve B Corp status, joining about 2,700 businesses in the UK with the certification.

Kali Dennett, associate director and ESG lead at Cartwright, said: "People are at the heart of what we do. We care about the impact we have on the wellbeing and success of our people, our communities and the environment, and we’re committed to creating a positive legacy where we work.

"B Corp certification is a huge recognition of the great work done by the team so far, and we're excited for the opportunity to leverage it as we continue our commitment to being a responsible employer and business.

"Having grown significantly in the last five years into a multi-location, digitally-led business, the B Corp framework ensures we can maintain high standards while remaining true to our roots."

Cartwright's teams provide PR, content, digital marketing and social media services, alongside planning and stakeholder communications, for prominent businesses including international vision brand ZEISS, procurement framework managing agent Pagabo, wool bedding specialist Woolroom and global sustainability consultancy SLR Consulting.

The agency was founded in 2006 by Liz Cartwright and was recently the official storytelling partner for UKREiiF.

Rose Hayes, joint managing director, said: "Reaching our 20th anniversary as a certified B Corp is a proud moment for Cartwright and reflects the kind of business we have worked hard to build.

"This independent certification gives real weight to our commitment to our people, our communities and the environment, while recognising the contribution made by colleagues across the agency."

“For us, this goes beyond numbers and tick boxes – it’s about meaningful support of people in our communities by helping them access the working world in an increasingly difficult market.

“Our first Impact Report gives us a clear benchmark against which we can measure our progress and hold ourselves accountable. As Cartwright continues to grow, we want to prove that commercial success and positive impact can go hand in hand, creating lasting value for our clients, our team and the communities around us.”
