Pulse Consult bolsters residential portfolio in the South with £300m project pipeline
Nottingham-headquartered construction consultancy Pulse Consult has strengthened its residential pipeline with schemes in London and the South of England at a combined value of £300m.
The company has recently been appointed on two inner-city schemes in central London. The first project involves a 24-storey student residential tower within a constrained and complex urban environment, providing 647 bedspaces. The second scheme is a 31-storey tower on a brownfield site that will provide 522 bedspaces.
Also included in the consultancy's ongoing growth is the development of student housing in Bristol. A scheme valued at £20m has recently completed, creating 184 student beds, along with commercial units.
Across the country's capital, Pulse Consult has provided project management services for a co-living and affordable housing development valued at £60m, which is also set to use vacant brownfield land. Pending planning approval, the development will create 324 units in total.
James Peake, director at Pulse Consult said: "All of these projects are delivering vital residential infrastructure across the capital and wider South of England. There's no doubt the wider residential sector is under pressure and our ability to support in solving these problems is incredibly rewarding.
"Working cohesively with our project partners and understanding how we secure project viability early on are just two of the crucial factors that support successful delivery. Across these four projects, and for all of the residential schemes we are part of here at Pulse, reflects our consistent commitment to delivering vital, necessary and future proofed projects that offer long-term value to our clients.
"It's this commitment, along with the expertise of our team, that is allowing us to see increased longevity in our pipeline and continuing what is a really exciting time for us, as we continue to expand our residential portfolio."
Pulse Consult's project management team is working on a purpose-built student development with 291 beds, which is currently in the planning stage, valued at £40m.
The team is also playing a key role in the evolution of a listed Neo-Georgian building to student accommodation, with the initial phase valued at £5m. Following the upcoming completion of its first phase, ready for the 2026 summer intake, and subsequent development of its second phase, the scheme will provide 113 beds.
